You can’t miss the Maheno shipwreck, standing proud on the eastern beach of Fraser Island. It’s an ominous sight to see as you approach the wreck, however, make sure you don’t miss the speed signs on either side of the wreck as these can easily be missed and the last thing you need on a Fraser holiday is a speeding fine.
Stopping at the Maheno can be a varied experience. Sometimes you can have the entire place to yourself, other times it can be teeming with visitors on a daily bus trip.
